I hit my 60th birthday feeling flabby, out of shape and tired all the time. I’ve been doing workouts with Kazi for almost a year now. I’ve lost 15 pounds and feel a lot stronger. I had fallen a few times in the past and broken some bones; I used to limp when I got tired, and my friends tell me they notice I don’t do that any more. I particularly like that we do a variety of different things each time, that the sessions are always changing to different levels, and that we do a combination of cardio and strength building with weights.
I would absolutely recommend Kazi as a trainer to anyone, at any level, who wants to learn how to work out. I really look forward to our sessions to get going in the morning. Kazi is a very good teacher and excellent about explaining exactly what muscles are working and what the exercises are accomplishing. He’s also extremely professional and calm and encouraging–as an older person, I appreciate that he’s very careful about matching exercises to my ability, while constantly monitoring that and pushing it to new levels.

After about six weeks into training with Kazi I noticed a significant change in my energy level. Kazi did something that no Doctor or physical therapist (and I tried a bunch of them) was able to do, he helped my shoulder heal so that I am back on the tennis court 4 times a week since last May. Not only that, but through his workouts, I have shed about 18 pounds! Furthermore, I really enjoy my time with Kazi because he is very bright, witty, learned, and a really good person. I am proud to call him my trainer but more importantly, my friend!

A few weeks into our sessions I began noticing changes in my body. My arms and legs became more firm. And my pants were getting too big for me. I also felt more energized and I was able to do more repetitions of the exercises than when we began. Kazi did not make judgments about my being a plus sized lady. This was very helpful because I tend to be very self conscious about my body. He encouraged me to believe that I could do all of the exercises and stretches in our sessions. Kazi made me feel special in the way that he treated me. He would say to me “oh Pat you can do it ” as he counted to 50 (smile). I have told many of my friends about Kazi and the wonderful way he trains you to become more in tune with your body and how the breathing and moving meditation exercises saved my life when I had a lot of stress to deal with.
